Plot
The film begins with Murari Rao (Sivaji Ganesan) returning from an ophthalmologist after a blood transfusion. The doctor tells him that he is in danger of dying as the blood from his eyes is different from that of other people. The doctor gives him a pair of spectacles and Murari Rao finds it amusing, but his widow Lakshmi (Sujatha) is puzzled. Murari Rao then reveals to Lakshmi that he is an orphan. When she asks him what he intends to do about it, he tells her that he will use his name for financial gain.
Then Lakshmi reveals that Murari Rao has a son, Vinayaka (Sethu Vinayagam). When Murari Rao goes to Vinayaka's house, he is astonished to see Lakshmi's father, Balu Rao (G. M. Sundarrajan), Vinayaka's biological father. Balu Rao is a notorious criminal who was framed and then jailed for his crime by Lakshmi's aunt (K. R. Vijaya). Lakshmi then reveals that her aunt secretly adopted Vinayaka and sent him to Murari Rao for protection. This be359ba680
